John Bungay
John Bungay (1862 - 1921) was the son of Charles Bungay and Mary Hare. He was married to Isabella Warren in 1886. They had a daughter, Helen who died in infancy (born 25 January 1889, Burgeo, Newfoundland; christened 3 February, 1889 - buried 3 May, 1889, Burgeo). Another daughter, Annabelle, was born 6 April 1890, Burgeo and was christened 6 July 1890, Burgeo. John's brother was Thomas Bungay who married Phoebe Vatcher. From the "Diary of Burgeo" written by Joseph Small in 1925 - John [son of Charles and Mary (Hare) Bungay] married here to Isabella Warren. They had one child. Isabella, the wife, died. The daughter grew up and went West somewhere. John, some years after, went to Rose Blanche and married a widow. He died four years ago (which would be ca 1921)."
