The Short Family of Suffolk
Dinah Short was born in Cratfield, Suffolk in 1793 - and married Jonathan Oakes at St. Mary's parish church, Cratfield, Suffolk, the 16th of October, 1815. I have been unable to trace her parents, as yet. Harriet Oakes, daughter of Jonathan Oakes and Dinah Short, married Robert Barber in Guelph, Ontario, in 1836. Dinah Short died in 1878 at Oustic, Eramosa Township, Wellington County, ON.
