Annie Jane Buckett

Jane Buckett was born in 1856 (summer quarter) in Ningwood, parish of Shalfleet, Isle of Wight. She was the daughter of George Buckett and Ann Brett. She was 4 years old in the 1861 Census, living at 'The Cottage,' Ningwood, Shalfleet, IOW. She is age 24 in the 1881 Census and 44 in the 1901 UK Census.

On 3rd of August, 1875, her marriage to Edwin Smith (born 11 April, 1854) occurred. The Registry Office of Newport has the record, though the marriage may have been performed in a nonconformist church. She died in 1924 (see note below)

4. Sabina (Bine) Smith - born ca. 1884, Northwood, IOW; c. 10 Apr. 1888, at home of Mr. R. Buckett

5. George Smith - born ca 1886, Northwood, IOW; c. 10 Apr. 1888, at home of Mr. R. Buckett; married 1st. Dorothy (Dot) Unknown (Issue: Joah, Vera) and 2nd (unknown) with issue: Hugh Smith.

6. Maud Smith - born 20 November 1889, Newbridge, Shalfleet, IOW - died 1946, Toronto, ON; married Andrew Brock (born 2 October 1888, Glasgow), 1914 in Toronto.
