Isaac Gregory was born in 1826 (c. 12 Feb.) in St. Marybourne, Hampshire, England. He was the son of John Gregory and Charlotte Manchester. He married Sarah Fisher (daughter of William Fisher) of Abbots Ann, Hampshire, at Old Alresford, Hampshire, England on 21 January, 1855. (Husband was 28 - i.e. born ca 1827; wife was 24). After Sarah died (after 1871), Isaac married Eleanor Unknown who is listed as his wife in the 1881 Census, at Cliddesden.
Isaac and Sarah (Fisher) Gregory were the parents of Annie Sarah Gregory who became 1. Mrs. Harry Thomas Barnard and 2. Mrs. Robert George Henry Brown.
In the 1891 Census of Hampshire, Sarah A. is a widow, a watchmaker, and Annie is still living at home, at 57 Winchester Street, Basingstoke.

Note: There is an Isaac Gregory born 1827, Hampshire and another born in 1835, Old Basing, Hampshire. The latter is the son of Stephen Gregory and Jane Unknown and the former is the son of a John Gregory and Sarah Fisher (of which line I am following). It is difficult to keep the above two Isaac Gregorys 'straight' as they lived roughly at the same time and in the same locales.)
According to the 1851 Census, an Isaac Gregory was working as a servant at St. Mary Bourne, Hampshire in the Civil Parish of Hurstbourne Tarrant. He is working for the Gilbert Alder family and is listed in the census with them. Isaac is age 28 (hence b. ca 1823). This is likely 'our' Isaac in that Hurstbourne Tarrant is also the birthplace of his future wife daughter, Annie Sarah Gregory.
