In the 1861 Census, Mary is living with her husband and family at 46 Warwick Street, St. James Parish, Westminster (greater London, England). Both James and Mary Ann are shown as having been born in Cork, Ireland, though it is more likely that she was born in Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

The following is somewhat speculative but may be the information re the above Mary Ann. According to Irish records for Kerry (RC), Parish of Tralee, there is a baptism for Mary O'Connor of Ballard (a village in the parish) on 11 February 1835.
