Theodorus Meisner and Catherine Elizabeth Gaetz (or Goetz) were the parents of Samuel Martin Meisner.

Theodorus was born on 17 August 1791, in Lunenburg, NS, christened on 21st August 1791 (Zion Lutheran Church). He died in Lunenburg. Catherine was born 17th March 1788, Marie Joseph, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia.

Theodorus' parents were Johann Conrad Meisner and Eva Margretha Masson (b. 1770).

Theodorus and Catherine (daughter of Johann Jacob Gaetz and Anna Marie Seeburger) were on 19 Novembr 1816, in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

Following Catherine's death, Theodorus remarried - Sophia Catherine Hughey, on 31 October 1826. She was born 20 August 1805, Lunenburg, NS. They had the following children.

iv Henry Isaac Meisner was born on 13 May 1828 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He was christened on 30 Oct 1828 in Dutch Reformed Church, Lunenburg.

v Catherine Ann Meisner was born on 22 May 1830 in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg Co., NS.
