Thomas Willoughby

The following information relates to (a) Thomas Willoughby who may have been the brother of Charles Willoughby (husband of Sarah Langril) and, hence, whose father was John Willoughby. A Thomas Willoughby, single, is listed as living with the Charles and Sarah Willoughby family, in the 1851 Census of Eramosa Twp., Wellington Co., Ontairo, Canada - at Concession 6, Lot 6. If the record (see 1901 Census, below) is referring to this Thomas, he emigrated from Ireland to Canada in 1845 - at least four years before Charles and Sarah's arrival.

Thomas was from Co. Wicklow, Ireland. He was born 31 May, 1823 and died in Durham, Grey Co. Ontario 22 April 1902. Thomas married Mary Griffith Bannister (1823 - 1912).
