George Willoughby (parents unknown) was born ca 1760, likely in Wicklow, Ireland. He died ca 1798 / 1800. He was a soldier and is said to have gone away and not returned. He may have been killed in the context of the Irish Rebellion of 1798. A Will for a George Willoughby was probated in 1800, in Wicklow County records. His wife was Mary who had a lease of land in Killavaney, Tinahely, Co. Wicklow for many years. The land was part of the Coolattin Estate under the ownership of the FitzWilliams.
