John Dennis

John Dennis was born in Stokesley, the North Riding of Yorkshire, England, 7 February 1773 - and died aged 81, 23 September 1854, in Kirkbymoorside Parish. He was the son of Stephen Dennis (IGI Batch #C014793) who was born in Normanby, North Riding of Yorkshire abt 1740, and Elizabeth Maye who was born in November 1742, Stokesley parish.

On 30th April 1797, John married Anne Jefferson of Appleton-le-Street who was born there 9 May 1774. In the 1851 Census they were residing at Kirkby Moorside, Reg. District 20b, Helmsley; Castlegate Street.
