William Milne

William Milne and Charlotte Connor (born ca 1859, Scotland, daughter of Robert Connor and Jane Greenlaw) were the parents of Charlotte Milne who married John Edward Morley.

William was born ca 1850 on the Balmoral Estate, in Scotland. His father was the head gardener on this estate which is the official summer residence of British Royalty and was that time under the reign of Queen Victoria.

He died aged 85, at Chorlton-cum-Hardley, Lancashire., England (a suburb of Manchester). His wife, Charlotte, died ca 1930 in England.

Their children: Jane A. (born ca 1880), Elizabeth (born ca 1883), Robert (born ca 1887), Charlotte (born 8 Apr 1891), Wilhelmina (born ca 1895)
