James F. Young

James F. Young was the son of Daniel Young and Elizabeth Windecker. he wsa born in 1800 at Waterloo Ferry, Ontario and died in 1884.

He married Christiana, born about 1804 (maiden name unknown) on 28 December 1820.

They had seven children:

George Calvin - 1823 - 1891

Elizabeth - 1826 - 1908

Anna Margaret - 1828 - 1863; married Robert Almas, b. ca 1825

children: Nelson - born 14 March 1847; Alexander William - born 1849; Elizabeth C. - born 1853; Hannah M. - born 1856; Catherine A. M. - born 1859; Frederick J. - born 1860

Robert married (2) Anne Hayes on 25 January 1864 (she was born in Brant County in 1836) and had children: George E. (b. 1864); Ellen (b. 1865); Spovina (born ca 1869)

Catherine - (1831 - 5 October 1920); married William Almas (1828 - 15 October 1908). Both are buried at Barton Stone Church Cemetery on Upper James Street, Hamilton, ON. Their children were: Hannah Christina (1852 - 1920), William Warren (1861 - 1951), P. M. (1867 - 1946).

David Dyer

Harriet Christina - (1842 - 1933); married in Wentworth Co., ON 14 November 1861, to David Almas (1831 - 16 May 1906). Both are buried at the Barton Stone Church.

David was the son of David Almas (born New Jersey 1786) and Hannah Hess (born Gloster, NJ 1785). Another generation back is Christian Almas (b. 1752) and Magdalena Backer (b. 1746).
