Thomas Croasdale

Thomas Croasdale was born 20 May 1644 in Waddington, Yorkshire and died 2 September 1682 in Neshaminy, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of Thomas Croasdale (b ca 1605, New Hay, England).

He married Agnes Hathornthwaite. She was born 13 July 1633 in Tethem, Yorkshire and died 20 October 1686, Middleton, Bucks Co. PA.

Pennsylvania Archives, 2nd Series, XIX, 586 SOURCE: PASSENGERS AND SHIPS ( PENN COLONY VOL. 1) PG 52 Thomas Croasdale, of New Hay, Yorkshire, F. P. of 1000 acres, was included in the Settle certificate, as were Agnes and six children, William, John,
Elizabeth, Mary, Bridget and Alis (Alice) though the children, listed in Middletown Monthly Meeting Records, 123- 124, as " born in England" were not named. Croasdale, like Hayhurst, has been considered a passenger on the Welcome. He obtained a warrant for the city lot appurtenant to his purchase of country land on 25 11m 1683/4, but died in less than a year, letters of administration being grant to his widow Agnes 10/10m/1684.
