Thomas Newman

Thomas Newman was the son of John Newman and Sarah Norris. He was born in Manningford Abbots, Wiltshire, England 3 February 1765 and christened there 31 March 1771. He married Frances (Fanny) White (born Pewsey, Wiltshire 1765) on 29 October 1791 at Pewsey.

Their children were:

1. Elizabeth Newman - c. 25 December 1791, Manningford, Wiltshire

2. Sarah Newman - b. 5 August 1793, Manningford, Wiltshire; married Henry Spackman (born 1796, Burbage, Wilts) on 9 September 1816, Overton, Wiltshire

3. Sophia Newman - b. 18 January 1795, Manningford, Wiltshire

4. Maria Newman - c. 22 October 1797, Manningford, Wiltshire

5. John Newman - 2 June 1799, Manningford, Wiltshire

6. Charles Newman - c. 22 March 1801, Manningford, Wiltshire

7. Stephen Newman - c. 20 December, Manningford, Wiltshire

8. William Newman - c. 1 April 1804, Manningford, Wiltshire
