Joseph Newman Joseph Newman was born at Pewsey, Wiltshire, England 8 February 1718. He was christened 9 August 1718 at Pewsey. He died 16 December 1801, Pewsey. Joseph's parents were Andrew Newman and Mary Elizabeth Gillmore of Upavaon, Wiltshire and St. Mary's Marlborough, Wiltshire, respectively.
